President of Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru
Steve Sellers is the president of Campus Crusade for Christ International/Cru. He previously served as the Executive Vice President and U.S. National Director. Steve joined Cru staff in 1976 at Marshall University. He has served in several capacities, including local campus director, regional area director and National Director for U.S. Campus Ministry. As a leader he has encouraged the ministry to discover new ways to connect people to Jesus on campuses and in communities. This includes a digital strategy that currently sees 3400 people daily begin a relationship with God. In 2002, he became the vice president for Global Student Ministry and later the vice president for the Americas and Oceania. He and his wife Christy have four married children and live in Orlando, Florida.
Vice President of Global Leadership
Dela and his wife Elizabeth are from Ghana, Africa. In the past forty years since joining the ministry, Dela has served in a variety of positions starting in the campus ministry in Ghana, and serving as the Director of Affairs for Eastern Africa and later for Southern and Eastern Africa, the Vice President for Africa, the Middle East and the Central Asian Republics, and recently, the Vice President for LeaderImpact. Since 2010, Dela has served as Vice President for Global Leadership. He is the author of numerous books on transformation and leadership. Dela and Elizabeth have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Worship Leaders and Songwriters
Gifted singers and songwriters, Jonathan and Amanda Noël first met in a Nashville recording studio. Since then, they have spent nearly three decades touring, performing, and recording with some of the most influential artists in Christian music. The couple is now based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Noëls are passionate about the worship life of the Church. The Noëls lead worship for services, special events, and clinics around the country.
U.S. National Director, Vice President for North America and Oceania
Mark Gauthier met Christ through Cru while a student at Colorado State University. As a student, Mark participated in a Cru summer project to Romania. It was there, in 1983, that he felt a call to missions. During his initial years with Cru, Mark served as a chaplain at Harvard University. Mark and his wife Kristi developed the first catalytic student movement in the U.S., reaching out to Boston’s 300,000 students and 70 campuses. Mark has served in a variety of roles on the U.S. Campus National Team. In 2002 he became the Executive Director of the U.S. Campus Ministry. He was appointed as U.S. National Director in 2020 and represents all of North America and Oceania on the Global Executive Team.
Vice President for Student-Led Movements
Holly likes to be plopped right in the middle of students from around the country or around the world—who want to know the Lord and make their life count. During her 38 years in ministry, God has used Holly to start dozens of new ministries across Asia, Bridges International, and the 100% Sent Initiative. Currently, Holly is the Vice President of Student-Led Movements (Global Campus Ministry). She has degrees in Asian Studies and Theological Studies with a specialty in apologetics. She’s a Floridian without a tan and swam in hurricanes. Holly comes from a big family and has 12 brilliant nieces/nephews and 2 adorable Godchildren. She has a thing for old books.
Vice President for Global Church Movements
Bekele was born and raised in Ethiopia and currently lives in Orlando, FL, with his wife Shewa and their four children–Nathan, Elim, Philip, and Nesiel.
In 1993, Bekele accepted God’s call for full-time Christian missionary service with Campus Crusade for Christ in Ethiopia. Since then he has attained several degrees and has held diverse leadership roles—national director for Ethiopia for five years, regional director for Southern and Eastern Africa (23 countries) for 11 years. He currently serves as Cru Vice President for Global Church Movements, focusing on building movements of multiplying churches and faith communities worldwide.
In 2011, Bekele helped launch GACX, Global Alliance for Church Multiplication, an alliance of churches and mission organizations working together to help establish an additional five million churches and faith communities. Bekele serves GACX as the founding chairman.
Vice President for Global Digital Strategies
Cheryl Boyd began following Jesus as a child growing up in Dallas, Texas. She got involved with Cru as a freshman at Texas Tech University, motivated by a deep desire to learn how to share her faith with others. Cheryl has served with Cru in various roles for 27 years. She spent 12 of her 17 years with the campus ministry giving leadership in Russia. She returned to the USA to help launch the City ministry, and has served in Digital Strategies for the past 8 years. In 2021 she took on the role of Vice President for Global Digital Strategies. Her passion is to help make Jesus known and accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
